In 1988 the donor of this basket indicated that it was made around 1918 by Marian Francis. Examination of early records have so far failed to turn up a Marian Francis. The 1911 census for Church House lists a Frank George and a George Frank. George Frank was later known as George Francis. His wife's name was Mary Magdalene. Frank George was married to a woman named Mary Ann, which is spelled 'Marian' on some records.
