Northern Coast Salish basket.  Shape is a rounded rectangle.  Slat coil construction.  Beaded decoration of wild cherry bark.  Single coil loopwork strand along top edge.  Two loop handles made of four thicknesses of rope wrapped with string, then wrapped with split cedar root.  

Materials:  cedar, cedar root, cherry bark - natural and dyed black

Techniques: slat coil, beading, loopwork
