Description:

One Northern Coast Salish style rectangular basket with lid.  Tapering sides.  Footed base, inset rim for lid to  fit over.  Loop handles made of 2 coils at ends of basket   Imbricated diamond pattern made of black-dye cherry bark, natural cherry bark and cornhusk.   Shallow, flat lid.  Has imbricated zig-zag decoration done in natural and dyed cherry bark.


Techniques: slat coiled, imbrication, loopwork


Materials: cedar root, cherry bark, corn husk


Overall dimensions:  57.5 cm long x 37.5 cm wide x 32.5 cm high
